About Amps & Audio

Hey there! Thanks for checking out Amps and Audio. This website is dedicated to exploring audio and music gear topics, offering guides, explanations, and discussions that you’ll hopefully find helpful.

Here’s some info about me, the creator of this site.

Ross McLeod is a musician, songwriter, producer, and recording engineer from Yorkshire, England. He began his career in the music industry as the vocalist in the indie rock band, Likely Lads, with whom he played at Leeds Festival in 2012 and toured the UK multiple times.

As the lead vocalist, songwriter, and bassist of three-piece rock band The Blue Dawns, Ross has released four EPs and an album entitled “Too Close To Home.” With the band, he has toured extensively and had his music featured on Amazon’s hit TV show, The Grand Tour.

Ross has a first-class honors degree in Music from York St. John University and a National Diploma from Leeds Conservatoire.

With so many blogs and websites offering obvious and unhelpful advice on audio-related topics, I’m dedicated to using all of the knowledge I’ve gained in the past decade or so as a professional in the music industry.

I plan to cover all kinds of topics related to music and audio on this site so that it can answer any questions you have without overcomplicating things.

Thanks for visiting!
